The school has been on its current site for just over 40 years. We are federated with Bucknall Primary School and known collectively as the Limewoods Federation. We are one of only 5 joint CofE and Methodist Primary Schools in Lincolnshire.
The school takes children in our nursery class from the age of 2, all the way through to Y6 when children leave us. On average we have about 200 children on roll. We live out our school vision in everything we do:
As a caring Church school, we want to equip every member of our school community to ‘live life to the full’ (John 10:10). We aim to give everyone a rich and varied range of opportunities to develop a sense of confidence, delight and wonder.
Our ethos is driven by our Christian values of forgiveness, fairness, trust, honesty, compassion, fairness and respect. We value the uniqueness of everyone and work hard to nurture their individual characters and talents.
Linked to the Bible verse John 10:10, we want everyone associated with the school to flourish and live life in all its fullness, just as God intended us to do.
Due to the diverse community we serve, we want to ensure that everyone knows they are valued and valuable, and want to give everyone the opportunity to flourish, regardless of their starting point or background. The starting point is always ‘How will this help them to flourish?’
As a joint Church of England and Methodist school we enjoy support from both the Lincoln Diocese and the Methodist Church through MAST. We also have strong relationships with both the Methodist Church and the Anglican Church (St. Lawrence) in the village. Children from the school have previously led worship at the district synod.
